A native of Seattle, Dr. Meredith received his MD from the University of Wisconsin and then completed his psychiatry residency and addiction psychiatry fellowship at the University of Washington. He was heavily involved in medical student and resident education as an academic faculty member at the University of Washington School of Medicine and the Seattle VA. He has published multiple peer-reviewed research articles and co-authored several book chapters, primarily on pharmacological treatments of substance use disorders. He was a Former President of the Washington State Psychiatric Association and formerly the Medical Director of the Washington Physicians Health Program. He was also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Washington. He believes prominently in a collaborative relationship with his patients. Dr. Meredith has done the FAA's HIMS training and meets the FAA's qualifications as a HIMS psychiatrist.
